As the premier model in the new Kodiaq lineup, the vRS boasts an impressive array of standard features. Among them are LED Matrix beam headlights, the KESSY Advanced system that allows for Open On Approach and Walk Away Locking, a high-quality Canton sound system, and an electrically-operated tailgate equipped with a Virtual Pedal.

Powertrain and performance metrics

The latest Kodiaq vRS boasts a 2.0 TSI petrol engine, generating an impressive 265 PS, which is a 20 PS boost compared to its predecessor. With a torque output of 400 Nm, it holds the title for the highest torque among all current Škoda combustion models, providing exceptional performance and versatility. This new vRS can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 6.4 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 143 mph. Remarkably, it maintains an efficiency of 33.8 mpg on the WLTP combined cycle, despite its powerful capabilities.

Power is distributed to all four wheels through a seven-speed DSG transmission, and a newly introduced Dynamic Sound Boost system provides the Kodiaq vRS with an engine sound that complements its athletic character.

Create

The latest addition to the Kodiaq lineup, the sporty flagship model, boasts a distinctive design package exclusive to the vRS sub-range. This package includes a sleek gloss black finish for the grille frame, D-pillar, and window frames.

The vRS model showcases a revamped front bumper adorned with several black-finished elements, complemented by a horizontal light strip integrated into the grille. True to the Škoda vRS lineage, the rear of the vehicle boasts a reflector strip that stretches across its full width. The Škoda branding and model identification on the tailgate are also presented in black, whereas the rear bumper and side sills are painted to match the car's body color. Underneath the rear bumper, polished stainless-steel exhaust tips can be seen, and the look is finalized with standard 20-inch Elias alloy wheels featuring a polished black finish, rounding out the vRS aesthetic.

Custom vRS interior

The bespoke vRS Lounge Create Selection includes sports seats with integrated headrests and black microsuede/artificial leather upholstery with red contrast stitching. Both front seats are electrically adjustable as standard and come with a memory function. The headlining is finished in black while the dashboard panels, door inserts and centre armrest are all trimmed with black microsuede material.

The driving atmosphere exudes a sporty vibe, highlighted by a three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel adorned with red stitching and a vRS emblem on the bottom spoke. Standard features include stainless-steel pedal covers, and the front door sills proudly display the Kodiaq branding.

The acoustic side windows in the front and rear, made of laminated glass, enhance the comfort levels within the vehicle by providing superior sound insulation. Additionally, similar to the other Kodiaq variants, the vRS comes equipped with a standard 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit and a prominent 13-inch infotainment display. To clearly indicate which model the driver is operating, the infotainment system showcases a vRS welcome logo when the vehicle is started.

Framework and motion dynamics

The Kodiaq vRS is engineered with a chassis configuration that caters to driving aficionados. It comes equipped with progressive steering as a standard feature, alongside DCC Plus Dynamic Chassis Control that broadens the spectrum of damping options. DCC Plus provides 15 different settings, ranging from a comfortable ride to a sportier feel, and it continuously adapts the dampers for an enhanced driving experience. Additionally, Drive Mode Select is a standard feature, enabling drivers to switch between Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, and Snow modes, each offering specific electronic damper adjustments. An Off-Road mode is also part of the package.

To guarantee that the Kodiaq vRS decelerates as effectively as it speeds up, it is equipped with ventilated brake discs at both the front and rear, along with larger two-piston calipers on the front. To add to its sporty appeal, these calipers are adorned in a striking gloss red finish.

Introduction of a new engine choice featuring the latest 2.0 TSI unit.

Alongside the launch of the new vRS model, Škoda is unveiling an additional engine choice for the Kodiaq lineup. This new 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine produces 204 PS and 320 Nm of torque, and it can be found in the SE L and SportLine trims. Every variant fitted with this engine comes standard with a seven-speed DSG transmission and 4x4 all-wheel drive.
